Battery Pack V2
The Battery Pack is supplied as standard with the Frogwatch Meter and is designed specifically for it. Only use original Frogwatch Battery Packs. That way you know for sure they are compatible, safe and of good quality.

Connecting
Important: Read the safety information first!
The Battery Pack fits into the Frogwatch only one way. Insert the left side of the battery first. If everything is right, it then hinges into place almost by itself. If it seems to take a lot of force, do not push! Check that nothing is in the way and insert the battery again as shown. If the meter is already mounted, take extra care that the Battery Pack does not fall out of the meter while you insert it, and fit the lid to keep the Battery Pack firmly in place.
Charging
There are two ways to charge the battery:

Via the Frogwatch Meter
The easiest way is to connect the battery to a Frogwatch Meter. When you power the meter with the supplied 12V power adapter, the battery is charged.

Via a Frogwatch Li-ion charger
The Li-ion charger is an optional accessory that is available separately. It is especially useful if you have several spare Battery Packs that you want to charge in advance, so you can swap them quickly at the measurement location.
The 4-pin plug of the charger clicks into the side of the Battery Pack. Does it not fit? Then you probably have the older 3-pin Li-ion charger of the V1. An adapter cable is available for this; contact us to order one.
